How Our Nonprofit Websites Fuel the Fight Against Brain Cancer

The power of a well-crafted website is crucial for impact, especially for nonprofits. During Brain Tumor Awareness Month, it's more important than ever to have a platform that effectively raises awareness, educates the public, and drives donations.

Brain Tumor Awareness Month is dedicated to raising awareness about brain tumours and educating the public.

Central nervous system tumours, including brain and spine tumours, are rare, with about 25,000 cases diagnosed annually in the U.S. Despite their rarity, there are over 130 different types of Central nervous system tumours.

We want to highlight three of our nonprofit projects that are a testament to how a well-designed website can work hard for you and your nonprofit, and that embody our commitment to impactful design.

Glioblastoma Research Organization

The Glioblastoma Research Organization, or GBMRO, is a research charity in the US dedicated to helping treat those with glioblastoma and championing the warriors who have it. Our job was to create a brand identity update and website design for this incredible charity.

The GBMRO website aimed to both shout about the incredible stories of people in its community with glioblastoma and educate and inform about the seriousness of the illness.

During our strategy sessions, we uncovered that this is a young team striving to do all it can for people from all walks of life. It’s a website that inspires hope and admiration for what the charity is doing and, in turn, receives more donations.

Brain Tumor Awareness Month | StacheStrong | Brand Design | Website Design

StacheStrong

StacheStrong is an incredible nonprofit devoted to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. With the help of their supporters, they’ve funded over $4,000,000 for brain cancer research to date. Our job was to give them a brand refresh and an (award-winning) website design.

We were tasked with creating a new nonprofit website design for StacheStrong, an organisation on the cusp of significant growth. With the impending pursuit of major funders and the celebration of their 6th anniversary, StacheStrong needed a website that not only reflected their evolution but also aligned with their future aspirations.

Our website strategy and implementation for StacheStrong were guided by a deep understanding of user needs, organisational goals, and the power of storytelling. By prioritising engagement, transparency, and usability, we created a digital platform that not only informs and inspires but also empowers individuals to join the fight against brain cancer and make a meaningful impact. #Let’sLiveStacheStrong

Brain Tumor Awareness Month | The Reece Hawley Foundation | Brand Design | Website Design

The Reece Hawley Foundation

The Reece Hawley Foundation is a heartfelt charity dedicated to supporting families affected by brain cancer, named in honour of a brave young man who lost his battle with the disease. Our mission was to create a website that truly encapsulates the essence of the foundation’s work while providing a platform that is both inviting and informative. We approached this project with a focus on clarity and simplicity to ensure that visitors can easily navigate and find the support they need.

In designing the Reece Hawley Foundation’s website, we chose a colour palette that balances hope and reality. Bright yellows inject a sense of optimism and energy, symbolising the hope and positivity that the foundation strives to bring to families facing challenging times. These vibrant tones are complemented by darker colours that reflect the gravity of the stories shared on the site, creating a visual narrative that honours both the struggles and the resilience of those affected by brain cancer.

Our goal was to create a digital space that not only tells powerful stories but also offers a sense of community and support. The new website is a testament to the foundation’s commitment to helping families navigate their journeys with brain cancer, providing resources, and raising awareness. By combining engaging design elements with heartfelt content, we aimed to amplify the foundation’s message and encourage more people to join their cause.
