Each week I will be capturing and uploading a week in the life of a brand and website designer living a nomadic lifestyle.

Follow along to see my day-to-day and the current projects I'm working on.

Episode 21

Welcome back to week 16 of the design diaries!
Exciting news in the studio this week as we have officially hired our fourth member of the Studio 77 team, meet Becca! She, along with Mia (who as you can see, is working very hard) is coming on as our Project Director, welcome to the team!
We’ve started QAing the nonprofit marketing co website, so this is very nearly ready to go, a few more tweaks and we’ll be ready to push live next week.
We are also continuing to work on the sales page with Mindful Champs before they launch a new ad campaign, so we’re getting the final tweaks sorted on those.
We also made some changes to some of the print items and reprints for them too, including the Talking Matters Cards and the MindfulMe Journal.
We also did a lot of behind the scenes admin this week, we’re getting ready to launch our own ad campaigns in May so we’re getting preparing for that.
On the weekend we went up Sulphur Mountain in Banff and were just blown away by the views, this is our last weekend in Canmore, before we head off on holiday to Japan next week!

Episode 22

Welcome back to episode 22 of the week in the life of a designer on the road.
This week, I started a really exciting project that I can’t share any details about yet, as we’ve signed an NDA, buuut it’s a super fun branding project for a business in the mental health space.
Here are some tiny secret snippets of me playing around with some letterforms for the logo.
On Tuesday I ran my design for non-designers webinar in collaboration with Hatch Enterprise. I have a few more webinars coming up, search Hatch Enterprise to find out more about these.
We also designed and launched a website in a week for an American healthcare company too.
This weekend, we packed up our bags and headed to Bali where we’re staying for a couple of months.
We reunited with our Bali besties we made last year, and spent the weekend relaxing in the Bali rice paddies, chilling by the beach and doing yoga.

Episode 23

Episode 23 of the week in the life of a designer on the road.
This week we designed and built a new web page for nonprofit Do it Now Now.
We also designed some new web pages for the sustainable luxury oral hygiene brand, Tooth Angel. The brand has been so well received that we are now selling caps with the logo mark on.
I’ve also been working on the branding for a super exciting, but super secret project in the mental health space. Whilst I won’t be able to share what it is until it’s launched, here are some more snippets of me playing with the logo which has now been approved!
This weekend we moved to a new villa with some pals that we made last year in Bali.
We had a big old cooked breakfast prepared which was amazing.
We spent the weekend doing yoga, playing uno flip and lounging by the pool living our best life.

Episode 24

Episode 24 of a week in the life of a designer on the road, let’s go!
This week, we were back at our favourite co-working space in Bali, Outpost.
We started the week by doing some bits for our retainer clients; we did a business card for Becca Jules and updated the t-shirt for the Glioblastoma Research Organization 5k Your Way event in September.
We’ve also been working internally on the branding and website flow for our secret client in the Mental Health space. Will has been working on the backend of this this week.
I ran a brand consultation this week, and did a webinar with Hatch about how to attract your target client.
At the end of the week, we went to a vegan cooking class on a farm, and in true Bali fashion, we connected with nature by rolling around in the mud and saw an amazing tribal dance.
